Talk on 'Commercial Lending Made Easy' April 13 in Newcastle
The Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the final of their four education programs being presented this spring. “Commercial Lending Made Easy” with Justin Laverriere, AVP business relationship officer, The First, NA, will close the series on Wed., Apr 13, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Oysterhead Lounge, above Newcastle Publick House, 52 Main Street, Newcastle.
In this lively presentation, Laverriere will address some of the misconceptions that businesses have in regards to commercial lending. Additionally, he will also discuss the basics of commercial lending in terms of what to expect when beginning the borrowing process.
Laverriere graduated from the University of Maine in Orono in 2011, majoring in business management, with a dual major in finance. Additionally, Justin received his master's degree from Western New England University in business administration. Beginning in June, 2011, Justin was hired as a junior commercial lender for First National Bank (formally The First), working out of the Bar Harbor branch until March of 2012 when he was relocated to the Damariscotta office to serve as a business relationship officer, a position he has now held for four years.
“Knowing how commercial loans work is essential for business development and growth,” stated Marva Nesbit, Chamber president. “This program, which will clarify what is involved in commercial loans, is a must for business owners and those who want to become business owners.”
This series of four education programs is made possible by the generous support of our 2016 education sponsor Newcastle Publick House. Space is limited so advanced registration is required. Registration fee is $5/member; $15/non-member.
