Barton Seaver to sign books and share food at Rising Tide Community Market
Barton Seaver, chef and author of “Superfood Sea Greens,” an advocate for the sustainable harvest of our ocean’s bounty who has dedicated his career to restoring a relationship to our oceans, will conduct a book signing and recipe tasting at a reception in the Rising Tide Cafe on Friday, March 25 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. He will talk about sea greens, answer questions, and provide samples of a few recipes from his new book. The event is free.
Barton the author of five books, he is also a National Geographic Society fellow, a contributing editor at Cooking Light and Coastal Living magazines, and an internationally recognized speaker. His 2010 Mission Blue Voyage TED Talk entitled “Sustainable Seafood? Let’s Get Smart” garnered well over 400,000 views online. His most recent work, “Superfood Sea Greens: A Guide to Cooking with Power-packed Seaweed” explores the health benefits of this emerging player in the superfood realm.
