Chamber invites businesses to learn about holiday events
The Wiscasset Area Chamber of Commerce invites all Wiscasset area businesses to join them on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7 a.m. for breakfast at the Wiscasset Community Center, 242 Gardiner Road, to learn more about how they can participate in holiday season promotions as part of the chamber’s Think Outside the Box program.
Shopping locally keeps the dollars spent at our businesses in the local economy, encourages local prosperity, and builds community. To help build excitement and involvement in the community, the chamber will be hosting a number of events and promotions as part of Think Outside the Box during December. The chamber is looking to work with local businesses to host evening extended shopping hours and community events, including appearances by Santa and carolers, hot cider and baked goods, and horse-drawn carriage rides around the village. In addition, the chamber will be offering additional marketing and promotion opportunities to chamber members through a buy local “passport” campaign enticing shoppers to spend dollars at their businesses.
Think Outside the Boxinvolves community events, a targeted marketing campaign, and sales promotions for participating businesses during the busiest retail time of the year.
The breakfast meeting will be geared toward introducing the chamber’s program and how it can benefit participating businesses. Breakfast will be served and there will be an opportunity for businesses to ask questions, share ideas and sign up to participate in the program for this December.
There is no cost to participate in the program and all participating businesses will be promoted throughout the event. For more information on this exciting opportunity, call Kelli Park at the chamber office, 882-9600, or email info@wiscassetchamber.com.
