On Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 members of the Etsy Maine Team will be hosting an online cash mob event, one of the first of its kind.

A cash mob is a group of people who all shop at a locally-owned business on the same day, giving that business a quick infusion of cash and showing support for  small business owners in their communities. 

Since the Etsy shops are all online, the Etsy Maine Team has organized a similar event, but online.

So on October 25, show your support for Maine's online small businesses by searching for “maineteam” at www.etsy.com and then shop. 

Etsy is an online venue for retailers to show and sell handmade and vintage items. The Maine Team on Etsy comprises more than 700 shops and more than 11,000 items.
