Tony C. McKim, president and CEO of First National Bank and its parent company, The First Bancorp, recently announced several staff promotions.

Richard M. Elder has been promoted to executive vice president, retail lending. Elder coordinates the activities of the residential mortgage and consumer loan product lines. Elder joined the bank in 1993 as the Boothbay Harbor branch manager and has over twenty three years of experience at First National. Rick is a graduate of the University of Maine and the Stonier School of Banking. He lives in Edgecomb with his wife and two daughters.

Steven K. Parady has been promoted to executive vice president, senior trust officer. Parady is responsible for overseeing the Bank’s Trust and Investment Management Division, First Advisors. Parady has been affiliated with First Advisors and First National for nineteen years. Steve is a graduate of the University of Maine and he earned his law degree at the Vermont School of Law. A member of the Maine State Bar Association since 1982, he lives on Mount Desert Island with his wife Cynthia.

Tammy Plummer has been promoted to executive vice president, chief information officer. Plummer oversees the planning, design and execution of all technology, operations and facilities functions with the Bank. A graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, Plummer has served at First National Bank for over 23 years in a wide variety of positions. She lives in South Bristol with her husband and two daughters.

Sarah Tolman has been promoted to executive vice president, branch administration. Tolman oversees the daily activities of all branch offices and the banking phone center. She has sixteen years of banking experience, the last two at First National. Sarah is a graduate of Husson College and the Mid-Coast Leadership Academy. She lives in Rockland with her husband and two daughters.
