Tony C. McKim, president and CEO of First National Bank and its parent company, The First Bancorp, recently announced a new role for Sherry Smith.

Smith is a long-time associate of First National Bank, joining the team in 1993. Formerly a mortgage loan officer in Damariscotta, she will be returning to her mortgage loan roots and taking on the AVP, mortgage loan officer position, a new addition to the Wiscasset branch. Sherry has been with the bank for over 25 years primarily working in a variety of positions in the bank’s retail area. Most recently she was AVP/loan operations manager.

“Having spent most of my career at First National Bank in a residential lending role, I am beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to return to lending full time in the Wiscasset office,” said Smith. “One of my first goals will be to meet the needs of new borrowers throughout Lincoln County and to reconnect with my prior customers.”
