Volunteer hop farmers will harvest their crop to provide hops for a local harvest ale to be brewed at Boothbay Craft Brewery and released in the fall. Winners of several growing categories, including most creative hops planting, most hops harvested, and largest single hops cone, will be chosen at the Hop Harvest Festival, Saturday, Aug. 25, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Boothbay Craft Brewery.
