Early risers get deals November 10
With today’s economy, people are looking to save money. The merchants in Wiscasset and the surrounding areas are making an effort to do just that for their customers.
Most stores in Wiscasset will be opening at 6 a.m., some at 5:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 10 for the traditional Early Risers sales. The merchants will be offering special discounts ranging from 50 percent to 5 percent off their merchandise.
Rock Paper Scissors (68 Main St.) is advising people not to sleep in this Saturday, because if they do, they will miss out on a lot of savings. From 6 to 8 a.m. they will offer a 25 percent discount and from 8 to 10 a.m they will give a 15 percent discount.
In the Clover, which is on Main Street in Wiscasset, has invited their customers to join them on the sidewalk for free donuts and a super table sale from 6 to 10 a.m. They will also offer a 25 percent discount off everything in the store from 6 to 7 a.m., and a 20 percent discount from 7 to 10 a.m.
True Value Ames Supply on Route 1 will offer a 10 percent discount from 6 to 9 a.m., on everything in the store.
Treats, a store at 80 Main St. that specializes in bakery items, bread, pottery, textiles, wines and much more, is offering a 20 percent discount off wine, beer, cheese and specialty food from 5:30 to 6:30 a.m. A 15 percent discount off wine, beer, cheese and specialty is being offered from 6:30 to 8 a.m. If you bring your own mug you can receive a free cup of coffee.
Georgetown Pottery on Route 1 in Woolwich is offering a “Late Bird Sale.” From 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., the store will offer a 20 percent discount on pottery and a 10 percent discount on jewelry.
Big Al’s on Route 1 will be offering super values with a 25 percent discount on everything in the store for three hours, from 6 to 9 a.m. Big Al invites everyone in for a free cup of coffee and a free gift seven days a week.
Mainely Sewing at 49 Water St. will offer 50 percent off kits, books and patterns from 6 to 9 a.m., and 20 percent off batiks. From 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., they will give a 25 percent discount on kits, books, patterns and 10 percent of batiks. There will also be 50 percent discount on fabrics until 4:30 p.m.
Peapod Jewelry on Route 1 in Edgecomb, has invited shoppers to join them and view the selection of jewelry and other items. A five percent discount will be given on all purchases from 8 a.m. to noon.
Sheepscot River Pottery on Route 1 in Edgecomb is offering a 20 percent discount on pottery and gifts. The first time ever included in the sale is the Maine Island Series, and Sheepscot Meadow. The Sheepscot River Pottery sale is not as early as the others. Theirs will be held from 9 to 11 a.m, with a 10 percent discount given all day until closing at 5 p.m.
Debra Elizabeth’s Finery for Self and Home at 78 Main St., will host a really early bird sale with a 45 percent discount from 5:30 to 6 a.m., a discount of 25 percent from 6 to 8 a.m. and a 20 percent discount from 8 to 10 a.m.
Showcase Antiques Gallery at 85B Main St., will offer Early Bird sales all day. The gallery showcases antiques and collectables with over 50 dealers. The Gallery is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Carl M.P. Larrabee Insurance Agency at 152 Main St., would like everyone to have a great time at the Early Riser Sale Saturday morning.
Whether you are an early riser or not, it may be worth your while to check out the special deals being offered to you this Saturday morning in Wiscasset and Edgecomb.
