Greenlight Maine, the television series designed to promote the entrepreneurs of Maine, is now accepting submissions for its second season. The series, which airs statewide at 7:30 Saturday nights on WCSH and WLBZ, is a competition which highlights two entrepreneurs presenting their “Big Idea” to a panel of experts who listen, weigh in and finally decide which contestant wins the night and moves on for a chance at winning $100,000 in cash.

Season 1, which is still airing, has already succeeded in securing $1,250,000 in angel investments for companies that have been discovered through the series. That, in addition to many invaluable connections, priceless advice and statewide television exposure, has created a very exciting opportunity for Maine’s entrepreneurs to introduce their companies to an audience eager to see and hear what they have to offer and to angel investors anxious to invest in “the next big thing.”
