Dear Editor:

Julie Casson deserves the vote from all Westport Island residents if we want a strong voice in how the island business is carried out. Julie was town clerk for four-plus years and knows the innerworking’s of the Westport Island government. Julie is a strong supporter of Westport Island residents and is active in many community committees and activities.

Her activities include being a member of the Westport Island Volunteer Fire Department, Helping Hands Volunteer, and other organizations. We would prefer to have a person with four-plus years of experience in the office to be on the Board to offset the inexperience of the two recently elected Board members.

We strongly endorse Julie Casson as the most qualified candidate for the position as the 3rd Selectperson on the Westport Island Select Board. Vote Julie Casson for 3rd Selectperson on June 13.
