Three Early Birds will win more than fantastic bargains and exciting specials this Sat., Nov. 7.

When the Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce draws the winners of its “Beat the Winter Blahs!” raffle, three lucky winners will receive a “Beat the Winter Blahs!” card which entitles them to bargains, discounts and gifts at Chamber members throughout the region between Jan. 15 and March 31, 2016.

Raffle tickets cost only $2 per ticket or 3 tickets for $5 for a chance to win a card which costs $20 to purchase and will entitle the owner to savings valued at over $500.

Stop by the Chamber’s table in front of the Damariscotta River Grill to buy your tickets from 6 to 9 a.m. on Early Bird Sat., Nov. 7. The drawing will take place there at 9:15 a.m.

If you don’t have time to buy raffle tickets that morning because you’re too busy taking advantage of all the great bargains at stores throughout the region, you can buy them at the Chamber’s office (67A Main Street, Newcastle) between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. until Friday. Same price, same chance to walk away with a prize.

“This raffle couldn’t come at a better time, just when everyone is starting their holiday shopping in our local businesses. ‘Beat the Winter Blahs!’ cards are great stocking stuffers, hostess gifts, employee rewards, or even a present for yourself, so the start of the holiday season is a great time to win one,” stated Marva Nesbit, president of the Chamber board. “If you’re not lucky enough to win one in the raffle, you can purchase a “Beat the Winter Blahs!” card at the Chamber’s table that day. All proceeds will support the Chamber’s programs--what a great start to the holiday season!”

The annual Early Bird “shop local” event is sponsored by the Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce. Once again this year Chamber members have been invited to post their specials, door prizes and other Early Bird information on the Chamber’s website for everyone to see.
